Olivia Musgrave is an internationally renowned sculptor who was born in Dublin but who has lived in Suffolk for the past 25 years. In the 1980s she studied at the City and Guilds Art School in London, and alongside her personal work, she has completed a number of portrait and public commissions in bronze with solo exhibitions in South Africa, Ireland and America. She is a Fellow the Royal Society of British Sculptors and former President of the Society of Portrait Sculptors.

Her work is drawn both from life and from the imagination where she draws inspiration from Greek mythology, as well as influences from 20th-century Italian sculptors, including Marini, Martini, Greco and Manzu.

Olivia has been with the John Martin Gallery since 1996, and she regularly exhibits at John’s Suffolk gallery Spirit Studios near Saxmundham. At this event she will be in conversation with John Martin, and they will discuss her inspiration and thoughts about mythology, a constant theme in her work over the years.
